Dark lipstick can be a total contradiction. It’s vibrant, yet subtle. Bold, yet soft. The combination of these ideas don’t make sense together, yet they do! Before I confuse you any further, let’s get one thing straight – a dark lip is a definite MUST for the cooler seasons!
No matter your complexion, skin tone, lip shape, or style, a dark lipstick will look great on you. For pale lipped girls (I’m guilty of being a chapstick only type of girl myself), this will be a change that may take some getting used to. But Fall is full of changes, so go with it!
Here’s your inspiration. Now go grab a tube of plum lipstick goodness!
We had another shoot on November 2nd. I’ll just leave all the behind the scenes right here…

Since you follow us on Instagram (you do follow us, right??), you probably saw a few snaps from our recent photoshoot! We had the ever adorable Olga in the studio – and let me tell you…from smiles to back bending poses, this girl has got it all!
We’ve compiled a handful of shots that we think summarize our evening shoot pretty well – and yes, the cheesy breadsticks were almost as drool-worthy as the clothing (which is coming soon to ShopDevour.com, duhh!).
Expect some awesome .gifs and final edits on the blog soon!
Personally, I’m not one to mix patterns. I haven’t perfected the skill, nor have I actually tried. The Givenchy Spring 2014 line is full of clashing patterns (camo + floral anyone?). Feminine prints meet masculine silhouettes in this collection, and I kinda like the outcome.
Right now we’re really into a minimalistic approach to fashion, be it summer or winter. It’s a clean look that screams sophistication and independence. We’re inspired by this Costume Norway editorial. Check out the images below & let us know what you think!
